DH 89A in sage green and silver DH original 1930's colour scheme

AIRCRAFT HISTORY

De Havilland D.H.89 Dragon Rapide. Constructor No.6337 G-AEML

Built in 1936, AEML was first registered to the Wrightways Ltd, Croydon. it was then impressed into military service 4.40 as X 9450 . It was restored to the civil register 3.46 to Armstrong Whitworth Aircraft at Baginton, then to Neil Tool Co Ltd, Panshanger 9.62, Liverpool Aero Engineering Co Ltd, Speke 2.68 then to J P Filhol Ltd, Baginton 12.69.

G-AEML was immaculately restored to pristine condition in DH sage green and silver colours, and is a regular visitor to the annual Moth Owners Meeting at Woburn, where it delights all with its classic colour scheme and fine performance, enhanced by its constant-speed propellors. These have slightly larger spinners than fitted to aircraft with fixed pitched props.
