Currently active, T-6818 is a regular performer at Old Warden and elsewhere. Finished in 1939 RAF camouflaged training scheme. 6 cards, 3 hand airbrushed in Dk Earth/Dark Green/Yellow, 3 Ivorex: Includes self adhesive decals, etched and cast metal, moulded wheels, resin-cast cowling and propellor, rigging cable.
Built 1932, c/no 85087- G-ANKT - RAF Serial T-6818
T-6818 was built at Stag Lane for the Royal Air Force in 1932. No records for the aircraft exist until Oct 1940, when it was issued to No.21 Elementary Flying School at Booker. On Sept. 26 1942, 6818 was moved to No 10 MU at Hullavington for storage, until being issued, after a considerable period of inactivity ,to the Station Flight at Aston Down on 8/10/51. 6818 was returned to store at No.20 MU at Aston Down 30/3/53. On 6/11/53 it was sold to A.J.Whitmore (Aeradio)Ltd. and registered to them as G-ANKT on 24/12/53. 6818 then went through a succession of private owners until being registered to A.H.Wheeler, trading as The Shuttleworth Trust, on 12/8/71. It has been refurbished and put back into military guise.
