Many thousands of ordinary citizens had their first taste of flying from remote fields flying in the back seat of 504's. This particular machine was first put on the civil register in 1933, registered to National Air Transport, and almost immediately was purchased and operated by Rimmer Air Services under the company name of North Britain Aviation Co. and was based at Hooton Park Aerodrome.
